These will be the celebration activities.
A sustained reading time from 2:45-3:10 (it’s up to you how “silent”) on a daily basis.
A button will be provided for all students & faculty promoting reading time.
Students may bring their own “appropriate” reading materials.

It’s an out of uniform week!
Our school challenge. Monday an announcement will be made—Can Wildcats read 1,000 books by Friday??

Teachers will display their choice of books whether they are AR or non-AR outside their classrooms (ie. A worm, balloons, your choice of display).

Student council will tally on Wednesday, will be mentioned. Grand total books read on Friday. Let’s reach our goal!!!!!!

Throughout the week:

Monday– Grab your hat and read with a friend…. Students can wear their favorite hat.
Tuesday-Wear your words day….you may wear any clothing with words (within dress code).
Wednesday–Mrs Marquez will read a Dr. Seuss book to all.
Thursday – BEAR (Be Excited About Reading) -Students may bring a friend (stuffed animal, toy- must fit within back pack) and a flashlight to read in the dark. Please turn off lights for fun.
Friday– Wear your favorite character (teachers, students and faculty). Keep it simple (a paper mask, face painting) or as complicated as you want.

Let’s motivate our kids to enjoy reading!
