Greetings to Anthony ISD Students, Parents, and Staff,

Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year!!!  As we all know, the start of each new school year is an exciting time for students, staff and parents.  2012-2013 will see the implementation of the new state accountability and rating system based upon student performance on the STAAR and EOC tests.  The implementation of the new rating system presents a new challenge for all students and districts in Texas and we welcome the opportunity to demonstrate our level of academic proficiency. Change can sometimes be difficult to deal with but as educators we know that our profession is constantly changing and evolving to meet the ever changing needs of our students.  Through this time of change we must all keep in mind that our basic mission, parental duties, and professional responsibilities do not change---improved student performance is the driving force and we must each do our part and fulfill our parental and professional responsibilities to see that this occurs.

I would like all of you to know that it is indeed my pleasure to have the opportunity to continue in my role as Superintendent of the Anthony Independent School District.  Over the past five years, Anthony ISD has been able to accomplish many positive things for students and it is my intention as your Superintendent to build upon the positive experiences and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to enhance the future performance of our students and the organization. As an educator, I firmly believe that the success of any organization does not hinge solely on the efforts of one individual, but rather on the focused efforts and the professional commitment and mutual respect of every individual within the organization.  We each have a role to fulfill and how we carry out our respective roles will determine the success that we will achieve.

We look forward to another great year for the Anthony Independent School District.
