Greetings to Anthony ISD Students, Parents, and Staff,
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year!!! As your new superintendent I want everyone to know that my family and I are excited about the new school year and all the exciting things that will occur at AISD this year. Even though we have been here only a short time, we already feel at home and look forward to getting to know as many of you as possible. I strongly believe that when we work together great things can be accomplished and it is with that belief that I press toward educational excellence on a daily basis. I invite all of you to join me in this journey we call education; It is very rewarding because of all it brings and serves as a catalyst for a great future for our young people.
Anthony ISD has been able to accomplish many great things in the past and has a proud and rich history. This should never be forgotten and in fact it should be celebrated. There are many individuals that have worked very hard to make this district what it is today and those individuals should be thanked for their efforts. With a new stadium and a $3 million dollar bond, there are new and exciting things happening that will continue the momentum that has been set in motion. What we must do is set our vision to the future and make sure that we commit ourselves to work collaboratively together and continue writing the story that will for generations be told about how AISD did not stand idle but rather was progressive and looked for ways to improve the educational opportunities for our students. We need 21st century thinkers that will be able to navigate their way in a world that requires innovation and creativity to survive. As superintendent, I understand the awesome responsibility that we all have, but I see it as an opportunity to work together as a community of learners that seeks to improve the lives of our students providing them a first class education. We each have an important role to play; find yours and become engaged.
We look forward to another great year for the Anthony Independent School District.
