Anthony Independent School District

ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

The Anthony Independent School District is an innovative school district with more than 700 students in far west El Paso County near the Texas-New Mexico border.

A tight-knit community of dedicated teachers, staff and administration lead AISD’s three campuses. The district has an elementary, middle and high school.

AISD has made major investments in classroom technology and associated infrastructure to help students achieve academic excellence. Each student receives their own iPad or Chromebook to ensure they have the tools to complete their schoolwork. All classrooms are also equipped with a 75-inch interactive board.

The district’s infusion of technology is expected to stimulate creativity, curiosity and assist students with critical thinking skills and problem solving.

AISD’s modest size creates an opportunity for students, teachers and staff to develop meaningful bonds with the school community. Many teachers witness their students arrive to the district as children and grow into contributing members of society by the time they graduate from Anthony High School.

The district serves the entire municipality of Anthony, Texas and extends into portions of Vinton, Texas, west of Texas Highway 20, south of La Union Road and a small section of Westway’s city limits. The region is referred to as the Gateway to Texas.

Students can select from an array of extracurricular activities that include UIL sports and clubs. AISD is one of two known local districts to offer E-sports, a form of competitive video gaming. Our athletic teams participate in UIL Class 3A in football, volleyball, cross country, basketball, track & field, softball and baseball teams.

Our educators are experienced individuals with a passion for helping students. AISD is home to the proud Wildcats!
